The Rat Rod is created of the thought of awaking a (pre-WW II) vehicle from the dead and embracing its natural form of deterioration, rust and all, while the Hot Rod is immaculately restored and customized for high performance. Rat Rods grow old gracefully while Hot Rods go under expensive cosmetic procedures to appear like new. Rat Rods are daily drivers better left unwashed, while Hot Rods only come out to play in shows and require the high maintenance of wax and polish. This Model A Rat Rod has made it way from Arizona to Indiana. The frame is 1929 Model A, it has been boxed in critical areas for extra strength. The roof of the cab is from a 1963 Chevrolet Corvair. The front grill is from a 1947 Studebaker Grill. The dual Stromberg carburetors are dressed out with a 1958 Cadillac air cleaner. The Strombergs feed a 1953 331 CID Chrysler Hemi V8.
