But as a true gasser, you also need the right elements of substance. That means eliminating the front bumper to reduce weight and the high solid front axle. This one really loves to know how mean it is from every angle with the big air grabber sticking out of the hood, bright headers peeking out from within the wheel well, and wheelie bars in the rear.

This Chevy was originally modified into a Gasser using a Red powder coated Woody's Hot rod Gasser frame. The frame off build was done in 2010 by Don Hanson Auto. If you're not familiar with the term a 'Gasser' is a hotrod originating from the drag strips of America in the early '50's on through the '70s. These were known as some of the fastest stock looking vehicles and this one has both the looks and speed.

Powered by a built 377 CID V8 with 12. 85 to 1 compression this car is very fun to drive. To list some of the internals this motor features steel crank, 6' Eagle rods, Ross pistons, solid lifter wild cam, 202 closed chambered heads, stainless steel valves, roller rockers, stud girdles, and guild plate. The engine has been paired up to a Muncie M21 4-speed transmission with a Light Smoky Yunik flywheel, and Speedway light clutch and pressure plate sitting between it all. To drive the power to the ground is a Ford 9' rear with 4:56 gears. To keep the rear tires firmly planted at a launch, Art Morrison ladder bars were added to the rear. The Speedway Gasser front end gives it that undeniable stance to claim the name 'Gasser'.
