This one is unique for several reasons, and it's a beautiful example of the 'Z' series from Datsun, they were entering the sports car arena beginning in 1970 with the 240Z. The 1978 280Z models were the most refined of all the Z-series cars to that point. This year, the manual five-speed transmission was first available in North America-bound cars. Very few 5-spds were ordered from the factory; most were 4-spds. This was also the first and only year for black being an available color on Z-cars. They were known as 'Black Pearl Edition' models. This 1974 Datsun 260Z was sold new at Econo Datsun in Riverside, California, and has reportedly been driven fewer than 30 miles since being acquired by its current owner two and a half years ago. The car is finished in white over a black vinyl interior, and power comes from a 2. 6-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.
