1970 Plymouth Cuda

View Description

This Cuda shows as if no expense was spared, estimating over $120,000 in receipts which can be acquired upon request.

With less than 500 miles on car since complete nut and bolt restoration this beauty has many years of life left. This big 440 ci engine pushing 500 hp only has about 200 miles on it. For added performance a VooDoo cam, hydraulic lifters, roller rockers, Edelbrock Torker II manifold, and Holley 850 carb have been freshly installed. You can enjoy the car at maximum rpms with the 5 speed Tremec transmission that features a Mcleod hydraulic clutch and classic pistol grip shifter. When you own a classic muscle car, it must make some noise for people to know you've arrived. You can certainly hear this car coming with the Hedman headers and custom exhaust. This list goes on and on for this car and is absolutely a must see. Other wonderful parts to note are the shaker hood, Magnum force front end that has been powder coated to match car, coil overs, rack and pinion power steering, Ford 9 in. rear end with 3. 73 gears, and Wilwood 6 piston disc brakes on the front and 4 piston discs in...

1968 Plymouth Road Runner

View Description

By 1968, the original muscle cars were moving away from their roots as relatively cheap, fast cars as they gained more and more options. Although Plymouth already had a performance car in the GTX, it wanted to reincarnate the original muscle car concept in a car able to run a low quarter mile time and sell for less than $3000. Both goals were met, and the Road Runner would outsell the upscale GTX. Paying $50,000 to Warner Bros. -Seven Arts to use the name and likeness of their Road Runner cartoon character as well as a 'beep, beep' horn, which Plymouth paid $10,000 to develop, and using the Chrysler B platform as a base which just so happened to be the same as the Belvedere, Plymouth set out to build a back-to-basics mid-size performance car. The standard engine that was exclusive-to-the-Road Runner was the 383ci Magnum V8 rated at 335hp and 425 lb-ft of torque. Now for an extra $714, Plymouth would install the massive 426 CID Hemi rated at 425hp and 490 lb-ft of torque, which as you can see, this one was graced with the beast. Combined with low weight, the 6-passenger Road Runner could run the 1/4 mile...

1970 Plymouth Cuda

View Description

This numbers-matching beast is reputedly in the hands of its fourth owner, who has had it for 20 years. It was restored by its then second owner back in 1995 and has only been occasionally driven since then. The 'Cuda AAR was a one year only car for Plymouth, back in 1970. Originally built to assist Plymouth in their efforts to meet homologation requirements for SCCA Trans-Am racing series, the production AAR cars were designed to look just like the AAR racing cars campaigned by the All American Racers auto racing team that Dan Gurney and Carroll Shelby founded in 1964. The 'Cuda AAR Trans-Am cars were piloted primarily by Swede Savage and Dan Gurney during the 1970 season. They captured 3 poles and managed a runner up finish. With a production total of around 2724 units, these 'Cudas are not easy to find these days. The 'Cuda AAR cars all came standard with a 340 CID V8, topped by 3 two-barrel carbs, a special fiberglass hood (with functional scoop), special 'eyebrow' front spoilers, a special 'Duck Wing' rear spoiler, and side-exit exhaust; all of which were unique to the 'Cuda AAR variants. For SCCA Trans-Am racing, the 340 was de-stroked...

1969 Plymouth Road Runner

View Description

While this beast may have started out with a 383 under the hood, now it's sporting 'The Mopar Legend': a custom-built, balanced, and blueprinted Gen II 426 CID Hemi, which was built by 426 Hemi Specialist Jeff Shmanske. There is too much detail to list all of the specs in this writeup, but we'll be happy to email the complete specs and parts list. What we can fit in is it's a 4. 50' bore Hemi block with water jacket cooling for street use, all moving parts were fully detailed, and precision Machined during the build process. It has ARP main hardware, a Melling HV oil pump, forged steel 8-bolt Hemi crank, H-beam connecting rods (ARP 2000 cap screws), custom forged 10. 25:1 pistons, Moly coated rings and bearings, USA made Mopar cast iron heads (170cc chambers) with high performance valve job, premium valve springs/locks/retainers, FelPro head gaskets, high performance USA made new old stock Mopar steel rocker arms (select fit to shafts), custom ground flat tappet cam (. 550 lift, 285 deg duration, similar to '68-'69 street Hemi cam), Cloyes double roller timing chain, Smith Bros. 1968 Plymouth GTX

View Description

The GTX was based on Plymouth's Belvedere and was sometimes referred to as 'the gentleman's muscle car', because it received upgraded 'luxury' features vs. the plain Belvedere or Road Runner. The 1968 model year also saw major changes in the Mopar lineup, with most models receiving new looks. The 440 Super Commando V8 was standard, and typically saw a 727 TorqueFlite automatic installed; however, a few were given the HD A-833 4-speed manual transmission. The majority of the GTXs built were coupes, while only about 375 were convertibles. A lower percentage of the convertibles received manual transmissions than automatics, which makes this a rare chariot indeed. This GTX is painted in the EE1 shade of dark blue and has a white interior. The 375HP 440 Super Commando V8 is topped by its original Carter AVS 4BBL carb and is equipped with dual exhaust. Backing the big 440 is an 11' HD flywheel, the requisite A-833 heavy duty 4-speed manual transmission, and behind that is the 9 3/4' Dana 60 rear end with 3. 54:1 gears and limited slip (Sure Grip) differential. This GTX is also equipped with HD torsion bar suspension, HD front sway bar, and HD chassis reinforcements (reinforced front...
