1929 Mercedes-Benz Gazelle

View Description

Originally a Florida car, this Gazelle is powered by a 1600 cc Volkswagen 4 cylinder engine, and is equipped with a 4 speed manual transmission. Options for this 29' SSK Gazelle include: AM/FM Cassette Radio, Manual Convertible Top, Side Curtain Windows, White Wall Radial Tires, Custom Wire Wheels (with matching spare mounted at the rear), Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Fog Lights.

Designed by Ferdinand Porsche (the last car he designed for Mercedes Benz before founding his own company) and assembled in Bremen, German, the Mercedes Benz SSK was manufactured between 1928 and 1932. SSK is an abbreviation for Super Sport Kurz which is German for Super Sport Short, since it was the short wheelbase development for the earlier Mercedes Benz S. The SSK was a highly sought after car then for its extreme performance and plentiful competitive successes, and even more now due to the fact that fewer than 40 were built during its production run. Nearly half of those were sold as Rennwagen (racing cars), and were subsequently crashed and cannibalized for parts. Only 4 to 5 entirely original models are believed to remain, and one was sold at auction in September 2004 for a whopping $7. 4 million....

1972 Lincoln Continental

View Description

The Continental Mark IV is a two-door personal luxury coupe that was sold by the Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company from 1972 to 1976. Following the success of the Continental Mark III, Ford renewed the model line to again compete against the Cadillac Eldorado. Sharing the underpinnings and much of the roofline with the redesigned Ford Thunderbird for 1972, the Mark IV was given distinct body styling from the windows down. In addition, the Mark was distinguished by hidden headlights and the 'Continental spare tire' trunklid. A feature retained from the Mark III was 'Sure-track' brakes, which was one of the first American cars to become equipped with anti-lock brakes. Both front seats were power adjustable. Mark IV built upon the 'long-hood, short deck' proportions, sharp-edged fenders, hidden headlamps, and a tall, radiator-style grille. Under the hood is something all Mark IV-s shared, the 365 horsepower 460 C. I. D V8 that-s right, a...
