Originally Silver Mink which isn't too terribly far away from the new color. Inside is a black interior in terrific condition and equipped with all the Thunderbird goodies. Equipment consists of Power windows, Power seats, Air Conditioning, Telescopic steering column and of course everyone's favorite; the swing away steering wheel. Power comes from a smooth running and torquey 390 V8. Both the 390 and the C6 automatic were rebuilt during the detailed restoration in 2008. The Chevrolet Camaro was released to the public in 1967 to battle the car that started the whole Pony Car craze. 35 Years later and almost 4. 9 million cars sold, Chevrolet made the decision to cut the Camaro out of the line-up. They would, however, have a great sendoff car in the 2002 Camaro SS. This example is dressed in Bright Red with a Black Convertible top. Nearly 50,000 Camaros were produced, and this SS is one of 1,443. It has lived a very pampered life which you can tell by the quality of the original paint. Typically, red paint is not the kindest to the ageing process but this one with about 9,800 miles still looks amazing.
