The Ford Model A was the Ford Motor Company's second market success after its predecessor, the Model T. First produced on October 20, 1927, but not introduced until December 2, it replaced the venerable Model T, which had been produced for 18 years. According to the consignor this Model A spent 20 years on display in a Ford Dealer showroom and is equipped with the 4 Cylinder engine and mated to the 3-speed sliding gear manual transmission. The consignor states this Model A is original and not a rebuild. Actual Miles on this Model A are unknown as the odometer is nonfunctional.

The Shay is a reproduction of the 1928 / 1929 Ford Model A. These cars were manufactured by the Shay Motor Company and were distributed by the Ford dealer network. Few will be fortunate enough to find a car this age with such a short ownership trail - its current owner purchased this vehicle from its original purchaser (aunt and uncle); so, it has been essentially in the same family since it was purchased new. Recent work done on the car includes having the turbocharger rebuilt, along with having the head gaskets and rear main seal replaced as well. While the car is not its original white, the red paint looks great, and the chrome trim is in very good shape as well.
