The Jeep Wrangler began production in 1986 as the model that would replace the ageing and outdated CJ-7 model. The new model was built under a whole new set of design parameters and really the whole idea of what a Jeep could be. The Wrangler would have creature comforts that the CJ-7 Never even thought of. The suspension, drivetrain, and even interior were all borrowed from the Cherokee making for a much plusher Jeep. This 97 TJ has had a lot of work to get it to its current state and has most of the receipts verifying what has been done. Start with the engine originally the Wrangler came with a decent 6 cylinder but as with everything more is better. The LT1 that now sits in its place is a great replacement giving this set up enough power to get down the road or through mud.
