Backed up behind this performance motor is a 5 speed manual transmission hooked up to a Ford rear end with gearing set up for you to cruise the highway at 70 mph with ease. Shifting thru the gears is a breeze and feel very smooth, with some chirping wheel potential. 1973 marks what some might call the last muscle car Mustang. 1974 marked the introduction of the 'Mustang II' which was initially released without a V8 engine option. This '73 however, has a massive 351 Cleveland V8. This is a 'Q Code' car which means it has a 4 barrel carburetor and puts out 265 HP; the highest available in '73. This one has been warmed over a bit with an Edelbrock Torker 351 intake, Holley carburetor, Crane Cam, and a Pete Jackson gear driven timing assembly. The engine also breaths through a brand new exhaust with Ceramic Coated headers and dual exhaust all the way back. This bad boy sounds like a muscle car should. The engine has been rebuilt and driven about 10,000 miles since. Other additions include an aluminum radiator with dual fans and new brakes. This Model A was fully restored in 1997 and has been very well cared for sine its restoration. During the restoration the car was upgraded with polyurethane bushings, cast iron drum brakes vs. standard steel drum brakes, hard brake shoes, stainless steel bumpers and a three roller bearing steering column. Painted in an eye catching Ford Maroon that is accented nicely with black fenders and a tan canvas soft top. The soft top is a full top that fully encloses the cabin with side windows. Once the top is off, the wind is blowing in your hair, but not too much thanks to the side window deflectors.
