The 80's were filled with cars that did not exude performance. The almighty Corvette was hardly the car it is today with 0-60 times in the 6 second range performance was lackluster at best. Buick was setting back and taking notice as they appeared to be the only company that was listening to their customers. With their current success in the NASCAR series they decided to call their new offering the Grand National. Sales were sluggish at first until 86 when a newly modified engine design with an air to air intercooler shot power ratings up and made the Grand National the fastest GM vehicle in the stables. This 87 is a very clean example of what these beauties looked like when they rolled off the line. The black paint is in great condition and is one of the key attributes to the GN's legacy. Open the hood and the thing that made the GN the car to strike fear in the hearts of Corvette owners sits basically untouched.
