Leading into the mid-30s, the great depression was finally behind America but WWII would not be far away. Plymouth decided to enter the truck market for the first time and the PT50 was born. Plymouth is not well known for making trucks as they only manufactured them from 1935 to 1942. The PT50s are very desirable trucks but rarely seen, especially since only near 11,000 PT50s were sold in 1937. Now nearly 80 years later these trucks are still loved, many had hard work lives, several have been converted to street rods. Finding one that is more original is an extremely rare deal, and that is what we have here. Walking around this truck just brings a smile to you face. The blue exterior paint and black vinyl interior are both in good order. Turn the key, push in the clutch, pull out the chock, pump the gas, and then hit the start pedal and the 201ci Straight-6 lumbers to life and the 3-speed manual gearbox is on the floor.
