The Scout was the company's competitor to the now popular Jeep. The only issue was they had no idea if the market would be big enough to support 2 4WD leisure vehicles. Introduced to the public in 1960 and only taking 24 months to build from sketch drawing to finish. This was a monumental feat considering the size of IH as a company requiring them to piece out the job. IN other words, IH did not build the Scout they put it together. This cool little Scout has come a long way since it left the factory back in 62. Gone is the factory economical 4 cylinder upgraded to a 289 which is putting out about 3 times the power making this 2 door a blast to drive. In 1967 Chevrolet made a major overhaul to the Corvette brand when they unveiled the all new C3 Corvette. The Mako Shark II design for the car was conceived by Larry Shinoda. The C3 Corvette was produced all the way until 1982. For those 15 years Chevrolet would make many changes, many of which were suggestions from their customer base. This nice example is from later in the C3 era, 1977. That year there were alterations to the steering wheel column and wrap to the radio and sun visors. This '77 is colored in Light Blue and is in nice condition. Inside is white leather to keep you cool and comfortable.
