In 1946, Volkswagen was busy producing Type 1 vehicles affectionately known as the Beetle. The idea for the Bus or Type 2 was also born in 1946, however, a prototype had to wait while the German factory was flooded with Type 1 orders. Fast forward a few years to 1950 where 9,500 Type 2's were created in the first year of production. Aerodynamics were a big part of the Bus design, with drag being reduced by splitting the window and roof into the 'V' design. In 1967 Type 2's lost their distinctive split window and gained a larger engine to compensate for a little more weight. This 69 VW' Bus is that vehicle. This 4-speed manual transmission paired to the 1100 engine is subtle yet strong. Her custom blue and white metallic drip paint definitely turns heads. Her body was repaired before repainted. Even the bumpers have been painted white to match the theme of the Bus. One of the meanest street Machines built in 2008, a Ford Mustang Roush 428R, that definitely shows pride of ownership. This is the condition of vehicle that car collectors gravitate to!

Our 428R pumps out over 510horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque due to the smaller pulley, racing spark plugs, cold air intake and more. Under the hood, a chrome powerdercoated Roushcharger can be found, and aluminum radiator, oil, intercooler, and strut tower caps are all thrown in for good measure. A performance exhaust system not only frees up the last few horses, but also ensures the 428R has the bark to back up its bite. A five-speed manual or automatic transmission sends the power to the rear wheels.

When the road gets twisty, Roush has the 428R covered there as well. Nearly the entire suspension was revamped from the previous model with the addition of firmer shocks, springs, and sway bars both front and rear. 285/40ZR18 front and rear Michelins on Roush chrome wheels provide the grip.
