The Avanti is based on the Studebaker Avanti. Marketed through five different ownerships as an American sports car from 1965-2006. Being offered as a coupe, four-door sedan and convertible variations. The Avanti II was introduced in 1965. Initially built with a Corvette 327 engine which evolved into the use of a 400 Chevrolet and ultimately downsizing to a 305.

The first- generation C/K series was the first General Motors pickup to be built on a body on frame platform. This second generation Chevelle was produced from 1968-1972. Completely redesigned with a longer hood, shorter deck lid, and semi- fastback styling.
