The Prowler came as a well-executed action on making a car retro styled after something reminiscent of a car made during the 30s and 40s. People instantly latched to these cars knowing full well that the unique styling and the limited number of Prowlers made between 1997 through 2002. The cars started life as being made under the Plymouth name 1997-2000 following a concept car that had debuted in 1993 and then changed hands being made under the Chrysler name 2001 and 2002 when the Plymouth line stopped being manufactured by Daimler Chrysler. Under the hood of this midnight blue pearl coat (Mulholland Edition) beauty lies an all-aluminum 3. 5 liter EGG V6 producing approximately 250 horsepower which when bolted to the 42LE Autostick 4-speed automatic transmission makes for one stylish car capable of propelling itself to 60mph in 5. 9 seconds; not bad for a naturally aspirated V6.
