This is one cool custom truck! You don-t see too many 1940 Ford trucks to begin with, but especially not Buick-powered trucks! This truck has a 322 CID engine from a 1954 Buick under the hood, backed by a 3 speed manual to keep you in control. Jet black paint, tonneau cover, Moon wheel covers, wide white wall tires, and just enough chrome make this truck look phenomenal from every angle. The Fords from this era are bubbly and round and really have a good look. The large fenders, chrome grill, and split windshield give these trucks a really cool vibe. The old Ford V8 emblem adorns the tailgate, and the grill is emblazened with the V8 badge as well, to let you know this truck is no slouch. The 1941 Plymouth trucks differed little from the re-designed 1939 model, and for good reason as Chrysler realized that its truck market would not last for long due to Ford and Chevrolet already having the market cornered. The 1939 Plymouth trucks had been completely revamped with a new cab and different styling giving its trucks more of a huskier look. The new design was not met with much success as the 1941 model year would be the last year that Chrysler would produce a truck until the 1970-s. Regardless, the PT-125 was a very efficient and reliable half ton truck, having a 201 cubic inch L-Head inline 6 cylinder engine which developed 85 1/2 horsepower and 160 lb. ft. of torque. This 1941 Plymouth underwent a complete frame-off restoration that was performed quite some time ago, but still shows very well having only 3,351 miles since the restoration was completed.
