C/K is a series of trucks that were manufactured by General Motors. Marketed under the Chevrolet and GMC brands, the C/K series included a wide range of vehicles. While most commonly associated with pickup trucks, the model line also included medium-duty and heavy trucks. 'C' denoted a two-wheel drive; 'K' denoted four-wheel drive.

Numerous changes occurred in 1971. First came another new grille design (the 'egg crate') for Chevrolet trucks and black paint over portions of the GMC grille. Second, an additional trim package was introduced: the Cheyenne. On GMC models, this was equivalent to the Sierra. These packages consisted mostly of comfort features - nicer interiors, more padding and insulation, carpet, chrome trim, and upper and lower side molding and tailgate trim. 1971 was the first year for AM/FM radios factory installed. Finally, the front brakes on all light-duty trucks were switched from drum brakes to disc brakes, resulting in much less brake fade under heavy use. This classic pickup has an amazing patina on it but don't let that fool you, underneath this truck is basically brand new. Under the hood is a crate 350 mated to a 700r4 transmission. The rear end is a ford 9' with 4. 11 gears and posi. The drivetrain in this truck is exactly what you want, low geared rear end for quick acceleration and overdrive for those longer highway drives. The engine has a great sound outside the truck but the entire inside surface of the cab is covered in Dynamat so its nice and quiet. For comfort, the owner has installed Air conditioning that will freeze you out of the truck, and power steering and power brakes. The odometer reads 4,224 which is the number of miles that have been put on this build. The outside may have a great patina but under the hood and inside are painted to a nice metallic green finish.
