The third generation Chevrolet C/K series was an all-new clean sheet redesign which debuted in mid-1972 for the 1973 model year. The redesign was revolutionary in appearance at the time, particularly the cab, departing from typical American pickup truck designs of the era. The third-generation trucks are known as the 'Square-body' or 'Box-body' generation. This 79 K/20 is not just your average K/20. With the metal of the body bed and cab in good condition the decision was made to put a fresh coat of black/red paint not too long ago. Of course, you cannot have a shiny paint job and then open the door to an interior that is not equally well done and desirable including a red bench seat, sliding rear window and upgraded stereo system.
