Originally Known as the 'Gladiator' from 62 to 81, the Jeep Pickup J series was built as a civilian vehicle to be easily adapted for military use. After Kaiser Jeep was purchased by AMC in 1979 a new model design was released for the Jeep truck. The newly designed J10 modernized the older style of pickup. 77 saw the first year for power front disc brakes as well as Dana's manual four-wheel-drive system. This J10 came with the optional AMC 401 CID v8 offering 225 HP and 320 lbft of torque. These engines were known for their toughness and excellent power output. Chevrolet has always had a big reputation of producing powerful muscle cars in their lineup. Among these; the El Camino showed as being more unique among the crowd combing the idea of having a mean muscle car that strongly resembled the Chevelle from the front and being a pickup truck resembling in body style. This El Camino goes above and beyond how it was created inside and out. The car is coated in a bright orange paint that strongly resembles Hugger Orange and features black striping down the middle.
