This is #25 of 100 Solstice Mallet's, and we understand it is one of only 2 with the LS7- making it very rare indeed. But this is a lot more than just a limited run car. These little Solstices were already spirited performers with the original 4-cylinder engines. Well, the folks a Mallet Performance Cars plucked the 4-banger out and dropped in Chevrolet's esteemed LS7 427, making this Pontiac lightning quick- perhaps more so that the Corvette due to its lighter mass. It LOOKS like a factory-built vehicle. The folks at Mallet did a beautiful conversion. Who knows, had Pontiac offered vehicles like this from the factory, they might still be in business!

Per Mallet's website, the '427 LS7 PACKAGE included: Everything in the 'Loaded Package' PLUS: 505HP LS7 Engine, Dry Sump Oil System, 6-speed Tremec Transmission, 3. 73 Differential, Custom Built Drive Shaft, Custom Built Half Shafts, and 464HP Rear Wheel 'horsepower'. Bought by the current collector 10 years ago, it was Restored by the previous owner from Arizona. self-described, This Firebird is so clean You could almost eat off the bottom of the car. When the previous owner got it, he completely disassembled and cleaned every seal, bushing, nut&bolt, bearing, and body bushing was replaced. The front subframe was blasted and painted and all new a-arm bushings installed. Original 4-speed was inspected a received new synchros. The New Hurst shifter is nice and tight. Original Disc brake rear end was rebuilt with new gears and all new bearings and seals. All new U-joints. All new springs and KYB shocks. The original 400 is long gone, but who needs 220hp when you can have a late 60's era 428 YH block was completely rebuilt with 40 over Keith Black pistons, pushing easily 400hp. #13 heads were completely redone. The Bonneville line up, which consisted of a 2-door convertible like this car to body styles such as a 4-door station wagon and 2/4 door hardtop, was Pontiac's most luxurious brand during the 1960's. This car was restored at Roush Special Vehicles in Michigan and comes in a lavish Cream paintjob with all-new chrome and a Tan power-operated convertible top. The Bonneville has some unique stock styling features to go with the tasteful restoration such as stacked headlights and blended chrome bumpers in the front and rear. 'Bonneville' script can be found on the grille, side moldings and rear fascia. Under the hood in the clean engine compartment of this desirable ride is a massive 461 CID V8 that pushes out 425hp according to literature we have on this build.
