Under the hood of this beauty is a Pontiac 400 CID V8 that was rebuilt roughly 8,000 miles ago. Thanks to that fresh rebuild, the engine pulls well and provides the muscle that GTOs are known for. Sending the power rearward is a rebuilt four-speed Muncie transmission with about 1,000 miles on it. The transmission shifts extremely well through the gears providing the driver with just the right amount of feedback withought being too stiff through the new Hurst shifter. Other new driveline components include the flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. The rear end on the car is a ten-bolt geard to a 3. 08 ratio which provides plenty of top end for highway cruising. The engine is kept cool by a brand new aluminum radiator which was fitted very recently. Overall, this powertrain is very well put together and certainly provides the driver with an authentic muscle car feel.

Lemans was the model name given to Pontiacs compact-intermediate size automobiles from 1962 to 1981.
