The Trans Am is considered to be the holy grail of the Firebird model. With upgrades including higher horse- power engines, better handling and stiffer suspension. Exclusive to the Trans Am addons included sportier hoods, spoilers, fog lamps and wheels. Four generations were manufactured between 1969-2002. The most famous Trans Am is the one used in the movie Smokey and the Bandit with Burt Reynolds. Sales of the car exploded after the movies premier setting new records for both the Firebird and Trans Am.
