These full-size, truck-based vehicles competed with Chevrolet Suburbans back in the day but they had something that GM's well known SUV didn't: four-wheel-drive. Although Travelalls didn't post huge sales numbers, they received glowing reviews from those who bought them- an early indication of the SUV craze to come by the end of the 20th Century. This example comes painted in White with oversized wheels and tires and comes with the largest engine option from that year- a 392 CID International Harvester V8. The motor has been rebuilt and comes with electronic ignition, a four-barrel carburetor, power steering and power assisted brakes. The popularity of the Grand National peaked by 1987, and this car is one of the 20,740 built for the model year. A 4. 9 second 0-60 run doesn't sound much by today's standards, but we are talking an era where Corvettes, Mustangs and even the Lamborghini Countach were not sub-5 second cars.
