Weve all heard the term special relationship describing the friendship between the United States and Great Britain on the world scene, but this has to be the ultimate personification of this association. These Jaguars are nothing short of beautiful to look at but owning one and having to keep up with the complex engineering on the V6 or V12 motors that these Jags came with is definitely the major drawback. This build literally solves that conundrum: a Chevrolet 454 CID big-block V8 has been expertly fitted in the engine bay and comes bursting at the seams with 485 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque (these claims are made by the seller and not verified by Gateway Classic Cars). Much of what is under the hood is high performance or upgraded including a mild cam, high compression heads, aftermarket radiator/cooling system and a 650 Edelbrock carburetor.
