The 3100 series was redesigned in 1948 and included an adjustable bench seat to accommodate 3 passengers. The truck also became larger in almost all areas. Larger cab and glass for better visibility. Also the door hinges were concealed on the inside of the jamb. The truck also benefitted from relocated pedals and steering wheel for easier use than before.
This 1951 example has recently undergone a respray that included taking the truck down to bare metal and painting it in the period correct green you see it in today. Powering this old workhorse is a 235 CID inline 6 cylinder and a 3 speed manual transmission shifting through the gears via column mounted shifter.
