For sale in our Chicago showroom is this monstrous 1966 Chevrolet Nova SS. Being such a lightweight body, the '66 Nova doesn't need a big engine to get going, but the builder of this car didn't care about that at all! A potent 454 Cubic Inch V8 resides between the fenders bolted up to a rebuilt 700R4 that makes this Nova and absolute screamer! A gear-driven timing set adds to the nostalgic feel of this beast as it whines with the revs of the engine. Out back a Ford 9" rear axle with 3:50:1 ratio was fitted to handle all the torque from the rat motor in front. Roughly 3,000 miles have been put on the combination, so you can rest assured that all the bugs have been worked out.

Now that we've talked about the “go" we can't ignore the “show!" A beautiful coat of a Chrysler Maroon was laid down and the car looks stunning in the sun. The rear of the car has been completely tubbed, yet it still has a full back seat! A tubular front section of the frame was fitted for improved aesthetics and structural rigidity. The black vinyl interior shows great and is very supportive and comfortable. The brightwork shows well and this Nova definitely will stand out from the crown with the massive steamroller rear tires!
