Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to present this glistening Orange Metallic 1963 Chevrolet Nova. The Nova name was utilized for the top trim level of Chevrolet's Chevy II compact car and was first used in 1962. These Nova Hardtop Coupes are arguably some of the coolest-looking 1960s-era cars out there, thanks to their clean body lines, and nearly everyone who sees one on the road gives the thumbs up to their occupants. This particular Chevy II started life as a six-cylinder car; but as most restored Novas get treated, this one received a serious injection of steroids. This car is powered by a very potent 454 CID V8 engine, which is topped by a Holley 4BBL carb and aluminum intake. One doesn't need to look too closely to see that it's also sporting the requisite plumbing for its NOS system, as well as the braided steel fuel lines that are fed by the Holley electric fuel pumps out back. The monster V8 is backed by an equally capable GM TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, which sends its power to the Ford 9" rear end. A set of coated Lemons headers scavenge the spent fossils into the muscular-sounding dual exhaust system, and a huge aluminum radiator helps keep this beast cool in traffic. Drivers will appreciate the addition of the subframe connectors, which stiffen the chassis considerably; and they'll have a lot of fun with the B&M ratchet shifter. Outside in the sun, its orange metallic paint really gleams, and the subtle ghost flames add another layer of visual excitement. The drilled and slotted rotors up front reduce brake fade and look cool as well. This bad boy is riding on a set of chromed B/G aluminum wheels, which are shod with low profile Toyo performance radials, so this Nova really sticks to the pavement. The rear air shocks enable tuning of ride height and damping, so you can have almost whatever stance you like. Slide on inside, and you'll notice fawn beige interior is in good shape from headliner to seats to carpet! The original front bench seat has been replaced by period correct buckets, and front occupants get seat belts. The modernized dash panels are outfitted with Autometer Fantom II gauges, which are easy to see thanks to the polished tilt steering column that the Billet Specialties steering wheel sits atop. Features and options on this neat little Nova include Aluminum Wheels, Radial Tires, Seat Belts (front), and Tilt Steering Wheel.
