There are several small nostalgic cues throughout the build including the Piper Cub brake pedal, Airstream trailer tail lights, and a Chevrolet heater box that was converted to a stereo enclosure and glove box. The roof of this Model A was chopped 3. 5' inches and features a Mercedes Benz cloth top. The 1920's era Willys Overland headlamps up front have been converted to halogen, which provide ample light if you so choose to drive after the sun goes down. The passenger area of the floorboard has been coated with spray-on bed liner and provides a nice non-slide surface. The rest of the cabin is finished in a light yellow, almost cream color, for a classy, streamline look. The interior has a list of custom goodies including: a gauge cluster from a 56' Ford F100, Piper aircraft brake pedal, vintage Booneville gas pedal, and a hood ornament for a shifter. Now do not shot me if this is a Sport Coupe or one of about 9 different names I have heard for this body style. This is one sweet little car! Painted a nice shade of light green with black fenders and running boards an ivory canvas top and bright yellow wire wheels, now I know this combination does not sound appealing but just look! Ford Motor Company introduced the Model A in 1927 replacing its predecessor the Model T with huge success. They produced many Model A styles ranging from Coupes, Convertibles, Sedans, Station Wagons, Taxicabs, and Trucks like this one that is being offered for sale. This 1929 Ford Model A Open-Cab Pickup Truck is powered by its rebuilt 201 CID Inline 4 cylinder engine, and is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. The engine is coming off a fresh professional rebuild with roughly 1,500 miles on the build. The clutch was also replaced during the rebuild which included grinding and rebuilding the pressure plate, and replacing the throw out bearing and pilot bearings. Also, the Zenith-1 Carburetor was rebuilt along with the distributor with modern upper and lower plates and a new radiator and water pump were also installed. To improve the braking abilities of this antique Ford a hydraulic brake system was installed including all new modern brake drums and plates.
