1970 introduced the second generation version of it's very popular F-Body series that ran from 1970 through 1981. Flat back windows were replaced with curved versions in 1975, and chrome bumpers as we know them changed forever in 1973 to satisfy tough new government mandates. Bottom line? This real-deal '71 Z28 RS represents a great year of the new body style very well, it's the last of the 'good' ones, and man is it a looker! Outside, the paint is smooth and high quality. Gaps are very good, and brightwork leaves nothing to be desired. Chevrolet Rally wheels never looked better. The car has a great stance that says 'don't even think about messing with me'. A true Transformer in a sense, because this car propels you back to 1971 and makes you look terrific in the process. Inside is like a time warp too, with the black vinyl bucket interior. Very nicely done throughout and it is very comfortable. These cars are quite roomy in the front seat areas. The 4-speed Hurst shifter connects to Muncie's preferred M21 close ratio manual transmission, which spins the tough, standard issue 3:73 12-bolt posi rear.
