1972 marked the last year of truly collectible Chevelles. A common misunderstanding is that these cars had lost all their power by then. Truth is, the biggest difference maker was, how the HP numbers were read. Before numbers were taken at the crank with no accessories or exhaust hooked up. Now they were what is known as -Real World Numbers' or the rating directly from taken from the rear wheels. having that said if you-re looking for a -Real World' performer look no further. This Chevelle has a balanced and blue printed 454 crate motor putting out an astonishing 425+ horse's. I say plus because the owner decided the 425 was not enough so once he got the crate motor the decision was made to put a set of X-heads and an aluminum intake giving it more power as well as a better response out of the hole.
