The 6v electrical system was upgraded to a 12v system and the appropriate wiring changes were made to make for a much more reliably starting truck. This street rod retains its factory roofline but has been lowered quite a bit to give a more aggressive look. The truck is finished in a bright coat of yellow which is slick and smooth. It sits on a staggered set of chrome American Racing wheels: 20' in the back and 18' in the front. The rear has been tubbed to fit a wide wheel and tire package. The tubs come into the bed which is nicely finished with glossy wood and chrome strips. The gas filler cap has been relocated in to the bed, and a custom black vinyl bed topper can be used. This beautiful black truck has recently underwent a full frame off restoration. Power comes from a fuel injected 4. 3 liter V8 and is sent through a smooth shifting 4L60E overdrive automatic transmission. The rear wheels are tied to a 12 bolt rear end housing 3. 73 gears. Since the full restoration, the truck has covered a modest 2,445 miles. More than enough to work out any fresh build bugs and low enough to still look amazing.
