The 1986 Chevrolet El Camino coupe utility vehicle was part of the 1978 to 1987 fifth generation series of El Caminos. The Chevy Chevelle had served as a template for the El Camino since 1964, but the Chevelle ceased production in 1977 and the El Camino retained the Malibu chassis and most of the Malibu's mechanical components. In 1986, this El Camino was equipped with the stock 5. 0L motor; fast forward to today, an updated 5. 7L LS1 is now loaded into this El Camino. Backing that updated power plant is a beefy 4L60e transmission. The rear end consists of a GM 10-bolt and is sporting a nice 3:73 gear to ensure you can reach highway speeds with no issue.
