The Nova story started with very humble begins for the 1962 model year. In the beginning all Novas were called the Chevy II. The Nova name was designated as the top trim package in the early years. A tried-and-true compact car build to compete with the Ford Falcon and designed to be more contemporary than the rear engine Chevy Corvair that's concept proved to be a little too wild for the average American car buyer at the time. Sporting a more traditional set up the Nova was a car Chevy promoted a reliable and efficient compact car that was only available with a 4- or 6-cylinder engine the first 2 model years, but by 1965 a V8 could be ordered scooting Chevys little grocery getter down the road quit quickly. In 1967 Chevrolet made a major overhaul to the Corvette brand when they unveiled the all new C3 Corvette. The Mako Shark II design for the car was conceived by Larry Shinoda. The C3 Corvette was produced all the way until 1982. For those 15 years Chevrolet would make many changes, many of which were suggestions from their customer base. While that may be the case this slick ride is way beyond original! Approaching this car there isn't a bad angle on it but if I had to choose a favorite it's the side profile. The widened fenders give it such an aggressive stance! The paint is in great shape, love the white with dark gray stripe broken up with the red. Interior looks nice being dramatically updated and really complements the bold muscular exterior.
