Fresh off the post war press from Chevrolet the Deluxe was a fresh style that provided an nice face lift from doldrums of pre war cars. Much in the same way the Model A was a canvas for hot-rodder's in the 50's the post war sedans were a great starting point for guys looking to hone their craft in the 60's and 70's thanks to their high volume and cheap cost. This teal beauty is done in the quintessential 'zztop' style with 1994 Chevrolet metallic teal accented with coral graphics and she's spent a few decades turning heads. 1938 was not such a great year for Chevrolet. Sales were hurting with an estimated 43% downturn from the year before, it looked like they may have been a little too aggressive on pricing raising them 4. 5% in the middle of a recession is arguably not a very smart thing to do. Styling however was going great for the Chevy brand that had brought in Pontiac's designer Franklin Hershey. Even to this day the 38's are sought after for their smooth and flowing lines which lend themselves nicely to Streetrod. This 38 has been given the classic Streetrod treatment. Under the hood is a great sounding and running 305 that gives this all steel rod plenty of power. Transferring the power to a TH350 transmission this rod is all about reliability.
