Light and medium duty models were only available at first, then a heavy duty lineup was added during the 1930-s and 1940-s. Fans of car shows may recognize the name Possum Holler Garage. They are known for their incredible restoration work. Well, this truck you are viewing was their first truck restoration. This is the one that started it all.

Fifteen years ago, this truck was found in a field in Georgia, and was the perfect candidate to receive a vehicular makeover. With nearly all of the original metal ready to go, only minor body work was needed before the classic white and green paint scheme was laid down. All of the stainless steel is still original as well. Under the hood is more 40-s Mopar greatness, as the Flathead 230 CID Straight 6 and 4 Speed manual transmission are original as well. The brown leather bench seat provides a comfortable place to pilot this beauty.

The car has been very nicely upgraded with a nicely built, period correct 340 CID V8. The engine was rebuilt less than 500 miles ago and has been built with Indy J heads with oversized valves, a Lunate Street Performance Cam, Dual plane intake manifold, and a 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor. Accessories include a high volume oil pump, STA Cool heavy duty water pump, and Mopar dual spark electronic ignition with rev chip. Backing the 340 is a TCI 727 Street Fighter transmission also with only 500 miles. This leads to an 8 3/4 rear end with Sure Grip and 3. 55 final drive ratio.
