It has received a stunning frame-off restoration to original factory spec that was completed in 2010. This is the open cab delivery truck model 76A with the narrow bed 78-A. It was assembled at Ford Long Beach in California. The frame serial number 2430697 suggests Oct 1929 and the engine Serial No A4281568 suggests Jan 1931. The original engine was replaced with a remanufactured engine in 2009. The truck was delivered in AZ in early 1930. It has 1929 and 1930 parts on it. It was in the dry desert climate it-s entire life so it was preserved very well. It only has 15 miles on it since the restoration. There are some top quality finishes too! LaBaron Bonney Co. period wool seat covers (brown beige check), black door and cowl panel sets, preproduction interior (heat shield, pedal covers, mats, etc. ). Also done was the folding canvas top assembly with enclosure rear curtains, glass, rear quarters, rear valance, side panels and storage bag. These Cobras also known as the Terminator Cobras are not to be messed with. These are very serious Machines capable of 12 second 1/4 mile times right from the factory. This one has only 17,987 miles and is truly drop dead gorgeous in White with a Black power soft top and a two-toned gray interior with suede and leather seating surfaces. Power comes from a supercharged 32 valve V8 that has been grossly underrated at 390 horsepower. These engines were hand built and power varied quite a bit from enge to engine. Most of them produced more than 400 horsepower and some in the 450 horsepower range. Back that up by a close ratio 6-speed manual transmission and an independent rear suspension and you've got a mean Machine ready for the drag strip or the road course.
