One of the first Mustangs off the line, these were built with several rare options that were discontinued during their first year of production in 1965. This one was built with a particularly rare F Code engine, defining the 260 Cubic Inch engine, capable of 164 horsepower and 258 lb/ft of torque. This is the only build generation that used this engine, and was later dropped in 1965 to use the now famous 289 engine. The transmission is a C4 Automatic 3-speed, which has always been a very popular option in the early Mustangs. After Iacocca trashed the initial T-5 project in 1962, They had to come up with a practical means of transportation in a rapidly growing market. Iacocca's answer to this problem spawned one of the most famous cars in American history, the Mustang.
