Introduced in 1948 the F series was an instant success with its all new styling. This F1 has a great 'Shop Truck' look about it which has grown in popularity lately. The truck was actually built as street rod but unfortunately the builder passed away and due to unknown circumstances sit outside giving the paint that faded shop truck look. The grill looks really cool with the vertical posts having a shine giving them contrast against the flat paint. The metal however is still solid and in good shape with no signs of rot or rust. Open the hood and you will find, as with most builds, a Chevy Small block was sourced giving this Ford the heartbeat of America. Mated up to the ever reliable TH350 this Ford is filled with solid Chevrolet parts. The rear end was sourced from a S10 completing this GM drive train. The wheels have been painted a custom red with chrome beauty rings which look very good and go with the Texaco logo very nicely.
