1983 would mark the 9th rendition of the Ford Thunderbird. Although it appeared it was a lot smaller than the 8th generation that was not the point. It was all about the concept that Ford was going with, something called aerodynamic. Sure it had been speaking about before but this was the first time a major car company had put it to work. The Thunderbird would be a success but not quite over night. Not until 1986 did the model get to what you see here and the most sought after of all. The Turbo Coupe would be Ford's top of the line model with its revolutionary turbocharged SOHC 2300 inline 4. This kewl funky looking Coupe is title as a 1934 Ford. What you get is the classic look of a-34 Hot Rod Coupe, where the body lines have been heavily massaged and a more modern drive train. The body is all steel though many of the original body panels been replaced. The body looks to be in good shape. The bright Yellow paint is in good shape as this Hot Rod has been more a driver than a show car with all nicks, chips and scrapes that come along with a truly fun car to drive. The steel hood, doors and trunk lid are handmade custom pieces that gives this old 34 Coupe the appeal of a do it yourself project. This Coupe was truly built with materials you don-t normally find in a build. The doors are repurposed diamond that the builder had readily available. 1941 was a war torn year where manufacturing was mostly going towards the efforts to fight Nazi Germany. Despite the turmoil going on all over the world Buick was still holding up their quality standards and producing truly great cars. As you step inside the interior of this antique Buick it is hard to not get caught up in the history of such a vehicle. The giant tube-style AM radio in the center of the dash is beautiful and well built. Although it may not be operational today you can almost hear the Glenn Miller Orchestra crackling through radio.

The body and paint on this old Buick is in good shape and is aged in all the right places and, despite its old age, there are minimal dings and no rust issues on the car. The interior is comfortable and the front seat feels like it is more suitable for a living room than a car.
