1963 Studebaker Avanti

This frame off restored Avanti is powered by a 350 CID V8 engine with aluminum valve covers and a chrome K&N air filter. A Muncie M22 4 speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter transfers the power to the rear end. The tires are in very good condition and as you can see in the video, it drives excellent. The body is painted a beautiful shade of green that has a very slight metallic flake. The paint is in very good condition, and the car shines up well. The gray interior features vinyl and cloth upholstery, and a wood grain steering wheel provides a nice touch to the overall appearance of the interior.
BACKGROUND: The Avanti was a personal luxury coupe produced by The Studebaker Corporation June 1962 and December 1963. It originated as a doodle on a napkin in a jet plane west of Chicago by Sherwood Egbert just 37 days after he took over as President of Studebaker in February 1961. It was marketed as 'America's only 4 passenger high-performance personal car. ' The Avanti broke nearly 30 records at the Booneville Salt Flats in Utah.
