In 1969, Pontiac introduced 'The Judge' to be a low-cost GTO, stripped of features to make it competitive with the Plymouth Road Runner. The Judge was $332 more expensive than a standard GTO in 1969, and included the Ram Air III engine, Rally II wheels without trim rings, Hurst shifter, wider tires, various 'The Judge' decals, and a rear spoiler. The name 'The Judge' came from a comedy routine, 'Here Come de Judge', used repeatedly on the Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In TV show which aired in the late 1960's until the early 1970's. This specific Judge is wrapped in a shiny coat of Carousel Red which make the decals on this GTO stand out. The interior is an immaculate Onyx Black vinyl interior that has been meticulously maintained and show almost no signs of wear. Under the hood of this GTO is the numbers matching 400 CID V8 which has been professionally rebuilt during its restoration.
