This black beauty started life as a 242 GTO with a 400 cubic inch engine and a 323 open rear end. But during her full frame off restoration in 2012 she received some major upgrades. The biggest upgrade she received was to her drivetrain. The built 455 cubic inch motor was bored to. 60 over with a mild competition cam and hardened valves and seats. Stainless steel headers and brand new exhaust give the new engine a nice rumble. The new engine is paired up with a freshly built turbo 400 transmission mated to a Gearvendor overdrive adapter. That means you have a total a 6 gears to go through on your cruise instead of just 3.
