Chevrolet built the 454SS for just four model years, initially arriving on the market in late 1989 as a 1990 model, and sunsetting in 1993. Roughly 80 percent of the approximately 17,000 of the trucks were produced for the 1990 model year, which makes the remaining years' models increasingly rarer. A completely stock 454SS in 1993 boasted 255 HP and 405 LB/FT of torque, a 4-speed automatic transmission (4L80E), and 4. 10:1 rear axle gear ratio, so it was plenty quick in its day. This Victory Red '93 has been given a number of useful upgrades, plus some cosmetic enhancements as well. Starting with a custom billet grille, custom billet aluminum wiper arms, custom front and rear bumper treatments, a custom hood with functional air intake, and custom 20-inch Vision Legend chromed aluminum wheels, this is one snazzy-looking truck from the outside. You will appreciate the enhanced handling that the 275/40R20 Toyo Proxes radials provide, too! The current owner obtained this car from the original owner after it sat in his garage since 1989. This car has recently gone through a nice frame off restoration and certainly ready to attend your local car shows. A copy of the original build sheet is on file as well.

Body: The car was completely disassembled and taken down to bare metal. All the original body panels were in great condition. The front and rear bumpers were hot tanked and primed. After priming and blocking the car, the body was given 3 coats of Sherwin Williams base coat and 3-4 coats of clear. The body was wet sanded with 2500 and buffed to a high gloss finish.

Engine: Since the car had been sitting for so long, the owner decided to remove the motor and completely rebuild it. All new internal components were installed. Crane cam, double roller timing gears and chain, Crane roller tip rockers, push rods, seals 3 angle valve job, ect. The carb was sent to National Carburetors for a full rebuild. All the accessories are original to the car and were completely rebuilt as well. The new ceramic coated Walker exhaust gives the car a nice sound...

This '67 Chevrolet features a fresh 350 SBC V8 with roughly 550 miles on the rebuild. Paired to a TH350 transmission, getting through the gears is automatic. While looking under the hood you'll see a clean and presentable engine compartment with painted inner fenders and firewall. The engine is coated in black to separate from all the orange ones out there. The rear end is a stout 12-bolt that has 3. 73 gearing ideal for cruising and enjoy some sunshine. A new hydraulic brake booster has also been installed along with 4-wheel disc brakes allowing you to stop in a timely manner. If the exhaust isn't quite loud enough for you, or you want to scare of a mustang or two, just open the electric exhaust cut outs and let it roar.

Painted in a Dupont blue, the truck shows well and can be taken out to your local car meets and enjoyed on a nice cruise. You'll also notice the bed has been completed refinished with a freshly stained and cleared wood.
