1956 Chevrolet Bel Air

View Description

This Bel Air hardtop is one of the most well-engineered of the 'Tri-Five' family that we've had the pleasure of listing. Of course, the first thing one notices is the beautiful Cadillac White Diamond over Sunburst Orange Metallic paint scheme, the super shiny brightwork, and the uniform shut lines on the doors, hood, and trunk. However, the fun part is what's underneath the pretty part! The foundation begins with a powder coated Newman Car Creations custom '56 Chevy 2 door hardtop frame and suspension package, with a complete Corvette front and rear suspension ('85-'87 components); including aluminum control arms, new Bilstein shocks, new bump stop rubbers, steel brake lines and stainless steel brake hoses; Baer Racing multi-piston front calipers and Corvette rear calipers, 13' coated slotted and drilled rotors up front, and standard sized rear rotors (also coated/slotted/drilled); Hydratech Hydro Boost brake package, Emergency/parking brake interface, Corvette LS engine mounts, Steel Fabricated Engine Mount Brackets, custom Newman Car Creations Differential with 3. 54:1 gears and limited slip ('Posi'). The gear ratio provides great highway cruising, but also allows for good launches and grin-inducing, wheel-spinning downshifts at highway speeds. Since you'll want to drive this Bel Air everywhere, a custom extra-large stainless...

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air

View Description

The Bel Air was Chevrolet-s full-size automobile being produced from 1950-1981. The 1955 - 1957, was the second generation of the Bel Air which was called the -Hot One- in GM-s advertising campaign. These tri-five Bel Airs are extremely popular with hot rodders, cruisers, and the gasser crowd. They are very versatile and have stunning good looks. This particular Bel Air is street rodded with a 350 CID V8 engine back by a cruiser friendly 700R4 automatic transmission, running to a 10 bolt rear end out back. Vintage Air A/C will keep you cool while you drive in style and other options include: vinyl interior, seat belts, tilt steering, AM/FM/Cassette, power steering, power brakes, power windows, aluminum alloy wheels and radial tires. The VIN starts with --VC55- proving that this is a real deal V8 powered Bel Air. Not a 150 or 210 made to look like the higher model. Under the hood of this...

1954 Chevrolet Bel Air

View Description

What makes it so unique is its digression from the 'normal' path of going with Chevrolet engines in this restoration. Under the custom louvered hood is a beefy Oldsmobile 455 CID V8, which has the task of sending the power through the 4-speed automatic transmission (appears to be a THM200-4R) to the 2. 78:1 gear set in the rear axle. The big 455 is enhanced by a 4BBL carb and mild cam, and a custom dual exhaust system provides that vintage muscle car sound. Additional mechanical updates include Wilwood front discs, a giant aluminum radiator with electric cooling fan, Mustang power rack and pinion steering, and tubular upper and lower front control arms. When one sees this car at a distance, it looks like a regular '54 Bel Air convertible, with a lot of shiny brightwork and classic vintage '50s look. Then the details begin to emerge as you get up close. The Saxony Red paint looks great, the glass is good, the chrome pops in the sun, and the chromed American Racing wire-style wheels complete the look. Inside, this 1954 Bel Air has a nearly new interior. Having received a complete refreshing of the interior a few years back, it's...

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air

View Description

If you've always wanted a real race car that was built by one of the legends in NHRA racing, but you were afraid to ask, 'how much? ', we have the car for you. Originally brought to the track by Don Gray Trucking as the 'Torture II', with its U. S. Body-supplied '55 Sedan Race Body Shell. Built by Jerry Bickel Race Cars, Inc. in 1995, this is one legend that has stood the test of time and looks better than it did when it was first completed. Smothered in a gorgeous Tangelo Pearl finish, with very subtle flame work that starts on the hood and continues down the front flanks, this is one sweet-looking hot ride. But don't let the looks fool you - this car is one thing, and that's 'all business'. Sporting a Reher-Morrison 540 CID big block Chevy V8 with its Williams Carburetors-built race carb, backed by a custom BTE Powerglide transmission, this car is set up to let you make fools out of your bracket racing competition. With an air throttle and throttle stop, you can run extremely consistent times. With its 2016 NHRA-certified chassis (s/n A071910) good for 7. 50 and slower E/Ts, this car...

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

View Description

This is a fantastic show car that can also be a daily driver if you desired because it will make you smile every time you leave your driveway. The frame off restoration was completed in 2014 and it looks like one of highest quality builds we have seen. ***LOOK AT THE UNDER CARRIAGE OF THIS CAR! BEAUTIFUL! ** Not a spec of rust. This Bel Air has a brand new 350 CiD V8 Crate Motor with a -Thumper Series' Cam and a period-correct Muncie 4 speed manual transmission. The engine only has 80 miles since its installation and is nicely appointed with lots of chrome and braided hoses. The car has a true dual exhaust that sounds amazing in cruise mode, and even better when you unleash the beast on the streets. This beauty is bathed in silver metallic paint outside, contrasting nicely with its beautiful blue dash and upper doors inside, which frame out the gray seating surfaces, further enhancing the look of the interior. There's a custom Grant steering wheel attached to its tilt steering column, and the dash has all the original gauges, plus an extra 3 gauge console, and right in the middle there, is a nice...
