While it is cool to own high performance or luxury cars, it's awesome and important to keep cars in the world that represent automotive history to show the evolution that results in the modern automobile. Starting in the 1930's when Citroen was bought out by the family owned Michelin, the TPV was developed to initially be super fuel efficient (upwards of 90 miles per gallon), and still maintain a smooth ride enough to transport eggs across a field without them cracking. The TPV was a French acronym that translated out to 'very small car'. By the time 1939 rolled around, 47 prototypes of the car had been developed including the use of different materials like aluminum and magnesium to keep the overall weight of the car as low as possible.
