1974 was a difficult year for the muscle car. Coming off of the 1973 OPEC oil embargo, engines had begun to get smaller, with fewer carburetor barrels, lower compression, and generally just began to feel anemic. Normally, all of these poor descriptors would fit a 1974 Dart, but not this Y-6 Gold one you see before you. This car has had new life breathed into it, in the form of a 340 CID V8 from a 1970 Dart. It has the famous -6-Pack- on top of it, with a triple Holley 2 barrel carburetor set up, and a Mopar Purple cam. The 727 Torqueflite 3 speed automatic has been rebuilt roughly 300 miles ago with Redline high performance parts and a mild shift kit make sure the shifts are firm.
