It has been rebuilt, sports headers, dual exhaust, an aluminum intake manifold, and an oversized air cleaner. The dual exhaust has a nice deep raspy note to let everyone know you-re coming. Behind the big block is a highly desirable 4-speed manual transmission and a 2-speed transfer case to all four wheels. The front axle has manual locking hubs and the final drive ratio is 4. 10 which will turn the large tires.

New dual round taillights were integral with the back bumper which is arguably the best looking rear end design for the Chevelle. With a unique Turbocharged 3. 8 Liter V6 under the hood, this Bird was the best performing since the 455 Super Duties. Pontiac under-rated these boosted T/As at 250 HP and 345 lb ft of torque.
