The El Camino has always been one of the most unique automobiles since its inception in 1959. The only direct competition was Ford's Ranchero which beat out the El Camino causing Chevrolet to rethink their strategy. 1964 it was released but it was not until they started adding performance engines the lineup did the El Camino really take off. This 1972 has took that performance angle to whole new level. With the body taken off the frame and everything taken down to bare metal this silver beauty was done right. Painted in this beautiful silver the black stripes are the perfect compliment. Under that striped hood is the classic 396 big block with a 650 feeding it just the right amount of fuel. Keeping everything cool under the hood is a set of twin electric fans. The 700r4 transmission allows the ELCO to get up and cruise down the highway with ease.
