The 55-57 Bel Air was the pinnacle of automotive excellence and is still considered to be one of the overall best cars to come out of America. The 57 Bel Air with its high and long fins really put an exclamation point on this decade defining style. This is an example of how these 57 Bel Airs could be hot rodded out and turned into very reputable street Machines. This 57 has what is believed to be the original 283 in it but with a very neat old school hot rod part. The Dual Quad intake was something that a lot of the early 60-s guys were putting on their small blocks to increase the amount of usable fuel going into the combustion chamber. This 283 has been completely rebuilt making for not only a healthy but reliable powerplant. The 2-speed power glide transmission is another one of Chevrolets groundbreaking pieces that was brought to the masses via the Tri Five batch of cars.
