The Mercury Marauder was a vehicle that Ford put out in limited production in 2003 and 2004 to try and reel in the market that the 95 and 96 Impala SS had ignited. With its all black exterior including smoked head and parking lights the look is all but sinister. The chrome polished five star wheels are exactly what puts the car over the top and definitely jump out against the black body. With this beauty having a clean vehicle history and less than 9000 miles the exterior is in excellent condition. Built on the Panther platform most of the parts on the Marauder come from the Crown Vic Police Interceptors. With the rear shock absorbers moved outside the frame rails the Marauder really is a completely different car. The upgraded brakes are just another enhancement only found on the Marauder. With the amped up 4. 6 motor, the same one that-s in the Mach1'S, power is available at envy and all rpm's but comes on strongest in the top end. 1955 was a year of many changes, Coca-Cola had decided to start selling their product in cans, McDonalds opened their first location, and the first commercial TV station ran in the United Kingdom. MG also had substantial changes with the creation of the MG-A. This body style was dramatically different than the earlier model and being the first of an all new body style they used the letter -A- to signify the start of a new line of cars. This Mark II was produced in the last year of this body style and had different features from the earlier years. This car features the bigger 1622cc four cylinder engine producing 90 brake horsepower compared to the 1588cc previously. This is a turn key 78' Vette that shows very well. Recently a lot of money and time were invested in the car. The black/white color combination looks fantastic in combination with the chrome side pipes. This car was built to drive. The power plant is a new Chevrolet Performance 350ci V8 Motor that blows out about 290HP and 326 ft/lbs torque. There are less than 4500 miles on the engine and this car moves.
