From there very little expense was spared putting this together. The business end is a personal favorite, because it is a crate 507HP Ford Racing Boss363. You have more horsepower than the original 427 big block, but with a lighter engine. Match that with how snug to the firewall the engine is and you have a recipe for a lot of fun. The transmission is a 5 speed Tremec TKO 600 close ratio transmission. The clutch is a Ram Ceramic HD clutch, and its all wrapped up in a quicktime explosion proof bellhousing. Originally equipped with a 396 cubic inch big block, this Chevelle got a bigger heart transplanted in by way of a 454 cubic inch crate engine. Sporting GMs high-rise intake manifold topped with a Holley Avenger 770, a roller lifter cam, and a Mallory distributor with Taylor wires, this is one stout performer! All of this horsepower and torque is force-fed through a 2400 RPM stall into a modified TH400 3-speed automatic transmission.
